• These 15 VA Hospitals Are Ranked Among Best For Maternity Care (patch.com) — Expecting parents in Farmville can take note that Centra Southside Community Hospital has been ranked among Virginia’s best hospitals for maternity care and recognized for serving at-risk communities. The statewide U.S. News & World Report list uses objective measures like C‑section and complication rates, and includes only 15 top hospitals across Virginia.
   

• University sees interest growth (farmvilleherald.com) — Longwood University is seeing its strongest enrollment and application numbers since before COVID-19, with more than 5,000 students now on campus. Leaders say the university’s personal approach, traditions, and close-knit feel help students connect not only with Longwood but with downtown Farmville, boosting local energy and economic activity.
