14-Year-Old Boy Arrested For Stealing Gun, Pointing At Girl: SCSO

The sheriff said the boy stole the gun from a truck and the next day pointed it at a girl he was walking with.

STAFFORD, VA — Police arrested a teenager Thursday after he stole a gun and pointed it at a girl, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. The 14-year-old boy is facing several charges.

Around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, a Stafford sheriff's deputy was on a call on Gallagher Lane when a 14-year-old girl approached him, telling him that the boy had pointed the gun at her and told her hit was stolen.

She and the boy were on a walk in the neighborhood when he pulled the gun from his waistband, police say.

The sheriff's office had been told on Tuesday, Aug. 6, that there had been a gun stolen from a truck on Edwards Drive.

Thursday around 1 a.m., police searched the boy's home. They found the gun under his bed, police say.

The boy was charged with brandishing a firearm, reckless handling of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a pistol by a juvenile, receipt of a stolen firearm and conspiracy to commit a felony.
