Coach Charged With Soliciting Minor In Stafford: Police UPDATE

UPDATE: A track coach at Colonial Forge High School was arrested Wednesday on charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution, says the SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—A track coach and security officer at Colonial Forge High School was arrested Wednesday on charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. The minor is a boy under 16 who's a student at the school. Delvin Ladon Jackson, 37, was charged with three counts of soliciting a minor for prostitution.

Jackson, according to the Free Lance-Star, is the school's interim track coach after having served as an assistant last year. The following is a statement from Stafford County Public Schools:

"Stafford County Public Schools is aware that a member of the staff has been arrested and charged. The track coach/security officer has been placed on administrative leave. The school division cannot comment further on the incident to protect student and staff confidentiality. Please be assured that Stafford County Public Schools is committed to providing a safe learning environment for students. The safety and welfare of all students is a top priority for SCPS."
