STAFFORD, VA—A drug-crazed man was arrested early Monday after repeatedly firing a gun inside a home in the 200 block of Spring Park Lane, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Dominick Serago, 31, of Fredericksburg, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, discharge of a weapon in an occupied dwelling, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while in possession of drugs.

When police went to the home for a reported medical emergency, they heard the man screaming and were told he was "tearing up his room on the third floor." Police found him "in a paranoid and agitated state," and he told them he recently had used methamphetamine.

His bedroom was in complete disarray, and a gun was found behind the bedroom door. Police saw bulled holes in the ceiling, and nearby residents confirmed hearing gunshots coming from the house. Serago was arrested, taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and then taking to jail, where he was held without bond.
