STAFFORD, VA—A drunk teenager was arrested early Thursday after breaking into a home on Pierce Court and leaving the residents terrified before being found asleep and naked in the living room, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. The 16-year-old will face charges including unlawful entry, minor in possession of alcohol and vandalism. He was released to his parents' custody.
In the wee hours of Thursday morning, police went to the home for a reported burglary in progress. They quickly removed the homeowners and their baby from the home, and then found the teenager sleeping on a couch in the living room. He was naked and wrapped in a blanket.
An investigation found that the residents were asleep when they heard a knock on the door and found someone repeatedly yelling for them to let him in. They didn't recognize him and opened a window and told him to leave. But the boy then began kicking the door and nearby window, prompting one of the homeowners to grab a gun and fire a shot into the ground as a warning.
