- Fredericksburg launched its new civil rights trail, "Freedom, a Work in Progress," on Thursday. The 2.6-mile trail starts at the visitors center, where people can review the Green Book. The establishment of the trail is one of the steps taken by the City Council to tell the story of Fredericksburg's Black residents. (Fredericksburg.com)
- Several Fredericksburg area facilities have been found in violation during recent inspections by the Rappahannock Area Health District. Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination, and the local health department can perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected. - Two sisters were arrested in Stafford County after leading deputies on a chase that ended in a crash. No serious injuries were reported during the incident.
