Dr. Brenda J. Biler has been appointed the new senior pastor of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.
Rev. Biler comes to Fredericksburg from the Charlottesville District, where she served as district superintendent for the past eight years. Prior to her cabinet appointment, she served Grace United Methodist Church (UMC), Newport News; Strasburg UMC; Kenwood UMC, Ashland; and Eastland UMC.
Rev. Biler is on the Bishop’s Steering Team for Vital Congregations and the Virginia Conference and The General Board of Pension and Health Benefits. Her academic accomplishments include a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University; a M. Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary; and B.S. from Allegheny College.
