Head-On Crash Kills Man In Stafford: Police
A man was killed late Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash in the area of Shelton Shop Road and Winding Creek road, according to the SCSO.
STAFFORD, VA—A man was killed late Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash in the area of Shelton Shop Road and Winding Creek road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Omio Chowdhury, 31, of Stafford County, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries. The other also was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 4 p.m., police responded to the scene for a reported crash. They found that a Nissan Xterra was headed north on Shelton Shop Road when it went off the road. The driver over-corrected and when back on the road, across the double yellow line and smashed head on into a Nissan Rogue driven by Chowdhury. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
