MONDAY, Aug. 26

Global Freedom Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on The National Mall, 7th & 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

Spirit Week Meet and Greet at Chick-fil-A® at Fredericksburg, 4220 Plank Rd.  The Meet & Greet for Chancellor High School is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Riverbend High School’s is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

TUESDAY, Aug. 27

Global Freedom Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on The National Mall, 7th & 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

City Council meets in work session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed deal with the Hagerstown Suns and Diamond National to build a multi-use stadium in Fredericksburg.  The regular session begins at 7:30 p.m. The agenda, available online, includes establishment of a Fredericksburg Taxicab board; the installation of taximeters; the granting a special use permit to Thomas H. Mitchell to construct a mixed-use building with a height of 56 feet and including 40 residential units on property located at 108 Hanover St.; and accepting the report of the Baseball Negotiations Team and providing for the development of the negotiating team's recommendation through the public hearing and approval process.

U.S. Senator Tim Kaine is the featured speaker at the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Council (MAC) dinner from 5:30 - 8 p.m. Details are available at this link.

Battle of the Bands between Chancellor and Riverbend High Schools begins at 7:30 p.m. at Chick-fil-A® at Fredericksburg, 4220 Plank Rd.

Let Freedom Ring Commemoration in Washington, DC, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial.

Riverbend High School Milkshake Madness from 5 - 8 p.m. at Chick-fil-A® at Fredericksburg.

THURSDAY, Aug. 29

Kindergarten orientation at Hugh Mercer Elementary School begins at 1 p.m.

Chancellor High School Milkshake Madness from 5 - 8 p.m. at Chick-fil-A® at Fredericksburg.

FRIDAY, Aug, 30

Riverbend and Chancellor High Schools Tailgate & Game Day.  The tailgate will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at Chick-fil-A® at Fredericksburg.  The fifth annual bowl game begins at 7 p.m. at Chancellor High School, 6300 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg.
