Larcenies, Vandalism Reported in Fredericksburg

BURGLARY:

100 block of Wellington Lakes Dr, July 31, 9 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person entered his apartment by prying open a window and stole a television and two video game systems. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

100 block of Caroline Street, July 30-31 8 a.m. A resident reported that a handgun, some loose change, and a bottle of liquor were stolen from his unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

800 block of Brompton Street, July 30–31 6 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person rummaged through the glove box and center console of his unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Famous Footwear, 1666 Carl D Silver Pkwy., July 31, 1:45 p.m. An employee reported that two females stole two pairs of shoes and left the area on foot. The investigation is ongoing.

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd., July 31 2 p.m. A loss prevention employee reported that a male and female subject stole a vacuum and left the area in a maroon SUV. The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

Christ Lutheran Church, 1300 Augustine Ave., July 30–31 9 a.m. An intern reported that the glass outer door to the office was shattered. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

FRAUD:

700 block of Freeman St., July 30–31 A resident reported that she responded to an ad on Craigslist for a job and the check she received in the mail for payment was fraudulent. The investigation is ongoing.
