Man Fatally Stabs Sister In Fredericksburg: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—A man was arrested Monday after fatally stabbing his sister and critically injuring another person in the 200 block of Ivanhoe Court, according to Fredericksburg Police. Daniel Alfredo Martinez, 21, of Fredericksburg, was charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder.

Around 11:30 a.m., police received a 911 call about a stabbing at the aforementioned address. They found two stabbing victims, one of whom was Maria Martinez, 25, of Fredericksburg. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries and where the other victim also was taken. Martinez was found and arrested shortly after the 911 call.
