Man Sought In Fatal Shooting, 2nd Man In Jail: Fredericksburg Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — One suspect is in jail on second-degree murder charges following a weekend fatal shooting in downtown Fredericksburg, while police continue to search for a second suspect, authorities said.

Elijah Musgrove is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, gun possession by a felon and using a gun to commit a felony in the death of Tyler Lee Jones, 23, of Fredericksburg, according to police.

Officers responding around 1 a.m. Saturday to gunshots found Jones injured on Charles Street, police said, adding he was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Fredericksburg Police detectives said Izaiah Jabbar Daniels, 21, of Woodford, is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail, facing charges of second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office apprehended Daniels during a vehicle stop. The Fredericksburg Police Department obtained warrants and took Daniels into custody.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between known parties.

Musgrove should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
