Northern Virginia Weather: Nice Weekend On Tap

STERLING, VA—Wasn't it nice, denizens of Northern Virginia, to wake up this morning to what will be a nice weekend with no chance of rain? Not only that, but we don't have to worry about extreme cold until well into next week. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasting outlets.

Dry weekends have been something of an anomaly around here for what seems like forever, but now we have one. Also, as the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang points out, "It’ll be fairly mild as well, so it might be a good time to get any of those outdoor projects that have been sitting around on the move. Before a piece of the polar vortex arrives next week, it’s mostly tranquil and not too chilly."
