Police: Temporary Lane Closures on Route 1

 From the Fredericksburg City Police:  

Motorists are advised of temporary lane closures Monday through Friday this week on the U.S. Route 1 bypass at the Rappahannock Canal Bridge (near CVS/Fredericksburg Shopping Center).

During the week, alternating lane closures in each direction will be in effect between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in order to facilitate road boring activity.

Route 1 will remain open to traffic at all times. However, motorists should expect minor traffic delays and may want to allow for extra time while traveling through the work zone area.
