Suspect Who Fled Traffic Stop Still At-Large: Fredericksburg Police

Fredericksburg police are looking for a potentially armed man who fled a traffic stop in the Devonshire Drive area on Thursday night.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Although Fredericksburg Police made an arrest in connection to their investigation Thursday night, they were still searching on Friday afternoon for a suspect who fled a traffic stop and who may be armed on Friday, according to police.

"One arrest has been made; however, the investigation is ongoing, and no further details will be released at this time," a FPD spokeswoman told Patch around 1 p.m. on Friday. "It is believed the suspect has fled the area, and there is no threat to the public."

Police described the suspect still at-large as a Black man with short dreads and skinny build, who stood about 6-feet tall. He was wearing a white shirt and black leggings/pants.
