Rappahannock Crest Prediction Updated to 14.5 Feet
The National Weather Service predicts a mostly cloudy weekend for the Fredericksburg area, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is now forecasting the Rappahannock River to crest at City Dock at 14.5 feet at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 13. At 13 feet the river may affect some homes, the NWS said. Flood stage is 18 feet at City Dock.
There is a 20 percent chance of showers overnight in the Fredericksburg area. Patchy fog is expected after midnight, continuing through 11 a.m. Saturday. It will be cloudy, with a low around 69.
A 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon, is predicted for Saturday. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy, with a high near 84.
Saturday night is expected to be mostly cloudy mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. There is a predicted 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Sunday should be partly sunny, with a high near 89. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is predicted.
