By Membership Schwetzburg
Next week Caroline Street will be lined with German American Flags welcoming the first Youth Exchange between Fredericksburg and our partner city Schwetzingen, Germany.
Select Germans ages 15-18 arrive Sunday evening for 15 days staying with local host families learning what it's like to be a teen in Fredericksburg.
During their visit the German guests and their teenage American hosts will enjoy planned events including an areal tour of Fredericksburg from Shannon Airport, the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair and trips to Lake Anna and Washington DC.
The public is invited to Capital Ale House on August 7 for Stammtisch, FSA's monthly social gathering, to meet the students and learn more about the Fredericskburg Schwetzingen Alliance.
The cultural exchange will culminate next summer when the host teens travel to Germany for their own oversees adventure.
