Social Media Posts Lead To Drug, Weapons Charges For Spotsylvania Man
A Spotsylvania man was arrested after the potential buyers for items he advertised online turned out to be sheriff's deputies.

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — A 30-year-old Spotsylvania man is facing multiple drug and weapons charges as part of an online investigation, according to authorities.
Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s deputies spotted social media posts advertising items for sale made by a wanted suspect, according to the incident report. The deputies arranged to meet the suspect, whom they identified as Austin Kile, at his home to inspect the items for sale.
On Friday, the deputies arrived at Kile’s home at the agreed upon time. Once there, they arrested Kyle and took him to Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Kile was charged with possession of a Schedule I/II narcotic (3rd offense), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm while possessing a Schedule I/II narcotic with intent to distribute, distribution of a weapon of terrorism (Fentanyl), and an outstanding warrant from Fredericksburg for possession of a Schedule I/II narcotic, according to the sheriff's office.
