Asher Nash is 15 months old — a dapper, bowtie-wearing blond with blue eyes and a winning smile. He also has Down syndrome.
After a modeling agency told his mom they wouldn't even submit Asher's photos for an OshKosh B'Gosh campaign, her effort to draw attention to Asher's story led to a meeting with OshKosh executives, and the surprising news that he got the job. >>> Read more.

As an 8-year-old with rare CHARGE syndrome that impacts his hearing, vision, eating and immune system, Dominic Steinhauser faces many challenges — but having an allegiance to the Cubs isn't one of them.
"He just loves the Cubs," his mom Deanna told Patch. His bedroom is half Cubs, half Blackhawks-themed. They're the last thing he thinks about when he goes to bed, and the first on his mind when he wakes.

Students Take the Field For Classmates With Special Needs
At McEachern High School in Powder Springs, last Friday night was homecoming. Halftime came, and senior Kyla Chang was announced as the homecoming queen.
Without hesitating for a moment, Chang took her crown and bouquet and handed them to another member of the homecoming court — Tyersten Kimber. Kimber is a special education student and captain of the "Mighty Indians" cheerleading squad.
