Spotsylvania County Government department phones are experiencing significant issues wherein a caller to these offices may be connected but cannot be heard. There has been some intermittent but unpredictable connectivity wherein a call may be connected and the caller heard.
Please note: this is a Verizon issue, and appears to be widespread beyond County Government offices. Verizon has been tracking the cause since Monday. Verizon has not yet issued further information, nor given an estimated time of repair.
Non-emergency calls to the County’s non-emergency administrative line (582-7115) are being connected and heard only on an intermittent basis.
The emergency-only lines in the 9-1-1 Center are functioning as they should – citizens are URGED to reserve these lines for emergency-only calls.
The patience of the community is appreciated as Verizon works out these issues. Further notices will be issued when updates are received from Verizon.
