Man Arrested, Charged Following Alleged Dispute at Party
Accused faces several charges from an alleged dispute.

The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a 32-year-old Fredericksburg man after a reported dispute on Aug 2.
Deputies responded to the 5900 block of Danielle Drive at 1 a.m. on Thursday where they found a 21-year-old female who was allegedly assaulted and robbed by a known male acquiantance, Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office Capt. Mike Harvey said in a release.
The male acquaintance was identified as Darnell Leon Mitchell by authorities.

"The victim was attending a party at this location and decided to leave after Mitchell would not stop bothering her. When she attempted to leave, Mitchell poured a bottle of wine over her head and spit at her," said Harvey in a release. "As she entered the passenger seat of a vehicle driven be a friend Mitchell attempted to pull her from the vehicle and when he could not get her out of the vehicle he forcefully took her purse. As her friend was leaving Mitchell threw a wine bottle at her vehicle breaking the windshield."
Harvey said Mitchell fled the area but was later found by deputies.

"The victim’s purse was recovered but some of the belongings were missing as Mitchell threw them as he was fleeing the scene," Harvey said in a release.
The victim suffered only minor injuries.
Mitchell was charged with assault and battery, robbery, attempted abduction, and throwing a missile at an occupied vehicle, said Harvey. He was held under no bond.
