The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office will be in your neighborhood conducting Operation Out of Sight in response to an increase of neighborhood vandalisms and thefts from vehicles.
The men and women of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office are committed to reducing crime and safeguarding your property and will be stepping up enforcement through directed patrols, surveillance, bike units, and public awareness until we can put a stop to this significant issue. Thieves are entering unlocked vehicles and breaking windows in order to steal your hard earned belongings. To help:

- Call in any suspicious activity in your neighborhood to 540.582.7115
- Keep vehicles locked
- Secure personal belongings (purse, wallet, GPS, phone, money, etc.) out of sight
- Do not leave valuable items in a vehicle overnight
- Record the model and serial number to all electronics
