Assault Suspect Claimed He Was There To Fix The Toilet: Sheriff
A Stafford man who entered a Fredericksburg motel room by claiming to be a maintenance man was charged with assault, reports say.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 51-year-old Stafford man who gained entry to a Fredericksburg motel room by claiming to be a maintenance man who had come to fix the toilet faces an assault and battery charge, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff's deputy responded around 4:02 p.m. Friday for the report of an assault at the Super 8 Motel at 557 Warrenton Road, according to the incident report. The victim told the deputy they had been assaulted by the man, who had claimed he was coming to fix the toilet.
The suspect, identified as Alfredo De Oca Ortega Montes, was arrested after admitting he had assaulted the victim, but that it wasn’t for any “bad intention,” according to the report.

De Oca Ortega Montes was charged with assault and battery and then held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,000 secured bond.
