City Council to Discuss Baseball During Work, Regular Sessions
Five things to know in Fredericksburg on Sept. 24, 2013.
1 - City Council meets 5:30 - 7 in a work session and in regular session beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Work session discussion will address municipal solid waste collection practices and the proposed meals and lodging tax supplemental incentive grant for the baseball project.
The regular session agenda includes:
- Conditional, Non-Binding Approval Of A Draft Performance Agreement For The Multi-Use Minor League Baseball Stadium And Baseball/Softball Training And Tournament Complex
- First Read, Establishing The Baseball Stadium Complex Tourism Zone
2 - Milling and paving work continues on Lafayette Blvd. from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Olde Greenwich and Twin Lakes. The project is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.
3 - Picnic in the Park takes place 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in Hurkamp Park.
4 - Walker Grant Middle School hosts its annual Scholastic Book Fair through Friday.
