Tony Williams Joins Economic Development Staff

Williams replaces Richard Tremblay, who is retiring.

Tony Williams, who has served since 2008 as director of Tourism and Economic Development for Greene County, Va., has been selected assistant director for Economic Development in Fredericksburg, City Manager Bev Cameron announced.

Williams replaces Richard Tremblay, who is retiring.

Before his five-year tenure in Greene County, Williams for eight years assisted with project development with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. His experience also includes employment with the Virginia Department of Aviation and the Virginia Tourism Corporation.  He attended Westminster Choir College and ECPI University.

Williams begins his new position on August 5.
