Business & Life Leadership Lessons from a 9/11 First Responder
Seven events going on in town you may not know about.

1 - The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting three events on Thursday, Aug. 22.
- Major Dan Pantaleo, USMC (ret.) will speak on “Creating Order from Chaos: Business & Life Leadership Lessons from a 9/11 First Responder.” The 8 - 9:30 a.m. presentation will be held at The Inn at the Old Silk Mill, 1707 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg. To RSVP email Stacey@fredericksburgchamber.org or call 540-373-9400. Cost is $15 for Chamber Members, $20 for Non-Members.
- Small Business Builder will be held from 12 - 1 p.m. in the Chamber Office, 2300 Fall Hill Ave., Suite 240, Fredericksburg. The event is free.
- The Chamber will host a ribbon cutting grand opening of the Spotsylvania Regional Cancer Center from 4 - 5 p.m. at 4600 Spotsylvania Parkway, Fredericksburg.
3 - Visit "Uniquely Spotsylvania 2013," a juried art show at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Headquarters branch, 1201 Caroline St. Fredericksburg. It is on display through Sept. 29, 2013.
4 - The final days of Salem Church Library's August book sale are Tuesday through Thursday. Visit the branch at 2607 Salem Church Rd., Fredericksburg, for half-price day on August 20, and $1-a-bag/box or ¢.05 for each item days on August 21 and 22.
5 - Jon Wiley Live plays at Bistro Bethem from 8 - 11 p.m. Tuesday. No cover; $3 drink specials.
