Track 'Marine Corps Half' Runners on Facebook, Twitter

Runners and spectators can register to Track A Runner through Saturday, the day before the race.

Participants and spectators can track a runner's progress immediately on Facebook or Twitter, or choose to obtain continuous updates via email or mobile text messaging during the Marine Corps Historic Half on May 19.

By receiving text messages or email updates, family and friends located anywhere can follow a Historic Half runner as they move over the 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K splits and across the finish line throughout the 13.1 mile half marathon course Sunday, Rick Nealis, Historic Half Race Director, said.

Runners also can register pre-race to post on their Facebook timeline or tweet over a Twitter feed their own progress while running the course.
