Virginia Weather Forecast: Heat Wave Moves Into Week

We won't see normal temperatures for several more days, according to the National Weather Service.

Even the threat of afternoon storms isn't enough to get us out of the dangerous high temperatures as we head into the week.

The heat index, or "feels like" temperatures won't reach 110 degrees, but we'll still see a dangerous 100-degree heat index on Monday and similar temps Tuesday.

The best chance for storms will be after noon on Tuesday. The skies will clear by Thursday and temperatures will settle back in the high 80s.
