A woman was arrested for attempted murder after running down her girlfriend in Stafford, says the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD, VA—A woman was arrested for attempted murder Tuesday after running over her girlfriend's leg and then trying to run her down again in the area of Cynthias Place, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Tyasia Faith Snell, 19, of Spotsyvania, was charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted malicious wounding, malicious wounding, domestic assault and battery, destruction of property and hit-and-run.

Shortly after 9 p.m., police went to the aforementioned area for a report of a hit pedestrian. They found the victim in her apartment with tire marks on her ankle to her knee, and she said she had been run over by her girlfriend, Snell. The victim said she had received threatening messages from Snell that day, and saw in a parked vehicle when she got home.

She began walking toward the vehicle before pausing to look down at her phone. When she looked up, Snell was driving toward her. She tripped and Snell drove over her leg. She hobbled to the curb, and then Snell got out of her vehicle and said, "I'm going to kill you."
