30th Annual Mount Vernon Town Meeting Saturday

Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck will host the 30th Annual Mount Vernon Town Meeting on Saturday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck will host the 30th Annual Mount Vernon Town Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 7:45 a.m. to 12 noon at Mount Vernon High School, 8515 Old Mt Vernon Rd., Alexandria, VA 22309.

Speakers will include Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova, County Executive Ed Long, Mount Vernon District School Board Member Karen Corbett-Sanders, and Colonel Angela Holbrook, Garrison Commander, Fort Belvoir. Also, Congressman Gerry Connolly and Congressman Don Beyer will be guest speakers at the beginning of the program.

As part of the town meeting, Supervisor Storck will take guests on a “virtual tour” of the Mount Vernon District. For the first time, you can also watch the town meeting live on fairfaxcounty.gov/cable, on Facebook Live, and on channel 16 or 1016.

The Town Meeting begins with a wide array of displays and exhibits in the school cafeteria at 7:45 a.m., and it is a great opportunity to learn about county resources, regional agencies, and local non-profits.
