Board Of Supervisors Candidates To Join Mount Vernon Springfield Forum
Board of Supervisors candidates will participate in a candidate forum hosted by the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber.

BELLE HAVEN, VA — As voters prepare to cast their votes for Fairfax County and state legislative elections, the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum.
The chamber's candidate forum will be held on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Belle Haven Country Club, 6023 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria, VA. Candidates for Board of Supervisors in the Franconia, Mount Vernon, Braddock and Springfield districts will participate.
All 10 Fairfax County Board of Supervisors seats are up for election on Nov, 7, 2023, including chairman and nine district seats. There will also be elections for Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney, Fairfax County Sheriff, Fairfax County Clerk of Court, all nine Fairfax County School Board district seats and three at-large seats, Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District, Virginia House and Virginia Senate. The towns of Vienna and Clifton have mayoral and Town Council elections as well.

Albert Vega - Democrat
The forum will focus on issues businesses face in Fairfax County. The Board of Supervisors oversees government policy, passes local ordinances with authority from the Virginia General Assembly, approves the county budget, sets local tax rates, approves land use plans and appoints officials to boards and commissions.
