Housing Alexandria Donates 300 Thanksgiving Meals to Residents
Affordable Housing Non-profit Gives Back with Annual Food Giveaway
Alexandria, VA – Housing Alexandria, a non-profit providing affordable housing and supportive services donated 300 meals to residents across their affordable housing properties in Alexandria, Va. Its successful, annual Thanksgiving food drive, surpassed last year’s donation by more than 15%. For more information at www.housingalexandria.org.
Each meal provides enough food to feed a family of four, totaling 1,000 servings. The meals provide mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and gravy! Housing Alexandria staff from all branches spend the day at the properties, celebrating the holiday with our community and giving out free meals.
Housing Alexandria goes the extra mile by including a gift card to a local Harris Teeter grocery store, ensuring families have the flexibility to purchase any additional cold items they need for a complete Thanksgiving feast.

Housing Alexandria has seen a steady increase in participation from its residents each year. Additionally, the Henry Condominium Association has partnered with Housing Alexandria, demonstrating a spirit of collaboration within the community. Residents received their meals in reusable Housing Alexandria eco-friendly tote bags.
