Comedian Jim Gaffigan Bringing 'Fully Dressed' Tour to MGM National Harbor

The resort, set to open in December, is announcing some of the entertainers coming to its 3,000-seat theater.

Popular comedian Jim Gaffigan will be gracing the stage of the new MGM National Harbor theater just across the Potomac River from the Alexandria area come January, the company announced Monday.

Gaffigan and fellow stand-up comic Sebastian Maniscalco will be among the first comedians to headline The Theater at MGM National Harbor as part of the illustrious Aces of Comedy series. The two will bring their respective national tours to the $1.4 billion resort and casino, opening Dec. 8.

The award-winning Aces of Comedy series has gained momentum since its inception six years ago at The Mirage in Las Vegas. It has quickly cemented itself as "the strongest lineup of top-tier comedians anywhere on the planet" (Las Vegas Weekly). The Theater at MGM National Harbor will offer an experience unlike any other in the region, giving fans the opportunity to see world-class entertainment in an intimate setting, which can accommodate 3,000 guests for reserved-seating events and just over 4,000 for general admission shows.

Gaffigan also starts in the TV series "The Jim Gaffigan Show," on TV Land. He and his wife Jeannie announced in August it would be their final season, so they could concentrate on their family.

This year Gaffigan filmed opposite Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Ron Perlman and Elisabeth Moss in the independent drama, "The Bleeder." He also appeared in the Falcon Films comedy, "Drunk Parents," opposite Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek, and recently lent his voice to the China-based Original Force Animation's animated feature, "Duck Duck Goose," alongside Carl Reiner
