Dan Snyder Leaves DC Area's Most Expensive Home Amid Pending Commanders Sale
As the Washington Commanders sale is processed, Dan Snyder is leaving the Fort Hunt home that was the DC area's most expensive home sale.

FORT HUNT, VA — With Dan and Tanya Snyder's sale of the Washington Commanders being finalized, they are no longer at their pricey Fort Hunt home that was a record sale for the DC region.
The Snyders bought the River View home in southeastern Fairfax County in early 2022 for $48 million, which was the top home sale in the DC region's history. But the Washington Business Journal reported that the couple appear to have left the property and moved to England.
The River View sale was assisted by Heather Corey of TTR Sotheby's International Realty. The seven-bedroom property sits on part of George Washington's original land, according to the TTR Sotheby's International Realty. Highlights include terraces with Potomac River views, room to host hundreds of guests, a gym with a waterfront view, indoor pool, spa, sauna, steam room, game room, 15-seat movie theater, three-bedroom guest house, carriage house, a waterfront dock and much more.

While it is unclear if the home will be sold with a public listing, the Business Journal reported that the couple's Potomac, Maryland home was listed for $49 million.
The Snyders have agreed to sell the Washington Commanders to a group led by Josh Harris, according to several reports. The group will pay a record $6.05 billion for the team, ESPN reported. Harris's group includes fellow billionaire Mitchell Rales; NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson; and David Blitzer, who owns part of the Crystal Palace FC of the English Premier League with Harris, according to ESPN. Also included in the group are at least 12 limited partners.
