ICYMI: DMV Coming to Mount Vernon Area
Del. Paul Krizek announced a deal Wednesday to establish Sherwood Hall Library as a regular Mobile DMV location.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Del. Paul Krizek (D-Mt. Vernon) announced a deal Wednesday to establish Sherwood Hall Library (see map below) as a regular Mobile DMV location. Every third Wednesday of the month, Sherwood Hall Library will alternate hosting a DMV office inside the building and mobile van.
"I am proud to broker this deal enhancing the quality of life for Mount Vernon and Lee residents along the Route 1 corridor," said Krizek. "Seniors and residents without access to a vehicle will especially benefit from this new Sherwood Hall Library location."
The two programs, DMV Connect and DMV 2 GO, will provide full DMV service to the Route 1 area. DMV Connect will serve customers from 10:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the DMV 2 GO van will service customers from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every third Wednesday of each month, beginning Feb. 22.
Currently, residents must travel to either the Eisenhower or the Lorton DMV locations. At the Sherwood Hall service centers, customers can apply or renew their ID cards, drivers licenses, take road and knowledge tests, apply for special ID cards, get copies of their driving records, obtain vehicle titles, license plates, decals and transcripts, order disabled parking placards or plates, purchase an EZ-Pass transponder and more.
