FORT HUNT, VA — After decades, a family-owned Italian restaurant is preparing to close its doors in Fort Hunt.

The Zebra first reported the upcoming closure of Via Veneto, located at 1309 Shenandoah Road, Alexandria, VA. A closing date has not yet been shared.

According to the business website, Via Veneto was opened by Marisa Fleck and Guiliana Austin, sisters from Marotta, Italy, and their daughters Kathy and Lili joined as owners. The Zebra reported that Kathy Mack, the only owner still alive, is preparing to retire.
