Keep Up with the Programs at Huntley Meadows
Show how wise you can be and register for one of the upcoming owl programs at Huntley Meadows Park.

From Huntley Meadows: On Friday evening, March 10, 2017, discover the secret world of owls with a family owl outing. Find out what makes these raptors excellent predators of the night, and then venture out on a trail hike as we try to hear or spot one of Huntley’s resident owls. This program for participants age six to adult runs from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. The cost is $7 per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult registered in the program.
On Saturday, March 11, Huntley celebrates a Festival of Owls from noon to 2 p.m. Special guests from the Raptor Conservancy will be on hand to let you meet local owls up close and personal. Learn how these raptors live, hunt and survive. Touch real owl feathers and bones, dissect owl pellets, make an owl craft, and learn how you can help protect these elusive birds of the night. This program for participants age four to adult costs $9 per person, and children must be accompanied by a registered adult. For an additional fee, you can purchase an owl pellet to dissect with the aid of a naturalist.
