MGM National Harbor Announces Opening Date
MGM National Harbor will open its doors at a grand opening Thursday, Dec. 8 at National Harbor, Maryland, the company announced Monday.

The resort will begin taking reservations Monday. The first night available to book a room is Saturday, Dec. 10. A "Capital View King" room averages $839 per night, according to the hotel website; there is an additional $24.99 daily resort fee. The projected path of powerful Hurricane Matthew shifted in the afternoon hours Monday, putting it on a course that may result in major damage as it tears up the U.S. coast later this week. The Category 4 storm is expected to arrive offshore of Florida Thursday afternoon.
