Mount Vernon Police Report: Bank Robbery, Fatal Car Crash
Also: a mountain bike was stolen form a business in Fort Hunt

The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon Police district station between June 23rd and June 29th.

Police say a 60-year-old man died in a single-car crash on Richmond Highway on Wednesday, June 22. At around 11:23 p.m. Robert Berry was struck by a 2010 Nissan Rogue when he attempted to cross Richmond Highway near Arlington Drive. See full story

Police responded to an armed robbery at the Virginia Commerce Bank located at 7901 Richmond Highway shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday, June 27. The thief took an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries. See full story
