Former Sheriff of City of Alexandria who volunteers to help so many people in the Del Ray community as well as at the King Street Baptist Church.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

He helps people without trying to get recognition, very low-key, people-oriented, who continues to make a difference in Alexandria, where he was born and where he served as Sheriff.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

That Dana has a heart of gold who will always be a champion of character and compassion in the great City of Alexandria.
