River Bend Bistro + Wine Bar Rolls Out Winter Menu

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Along with the winter season comes new lunch, dinner, and dessert menu selections at River Bend Bistro & Wine Bar in Alexandria’s Hollin Hall neighborhood. The new menu and the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere blend together to keep guests satisfied and wanting to come back for more. The new lunch menu features the warm and delicious Cassoulet – a white bean and pork stew made with garlic sausage, and chicken confit. The entrée combines perfectly with any of the starters such as the Warm Spinach Salad, Sweet Potato Biscuits or paired with one of the delicious side dishes including French Beans and Sautéed Spinach.

Guests visiting for dinner will enjoy the new entrées like the Braised Lamb Shank served over Gorgonzola Polenta, and Grilled Tuna Steak with Pink Grapefruit and Arugula Salad. Those looking to add a starter to their meal should consider the tasty Smoked Catfish Dip served with a baguette, or Warm Raclette with New Potatoes served with Pickled Red Onions and Cornichons.

“We have put great care into creating every menu item. We want each dish to be a memorable experience and I’m sure the new menu will be a hit with guests,” Chef-Owner Caroline Ross said.

The dessert menu definitely shouldn’t be overlooked this season either. The decadent new Raspberry Linzer Torte served with whipped cream is a great way for guests to end their dining experience. The menu also includes previous favorites like the Chocolate Mousse and Mascarpone Cheesecake. Guests are sure to find the perfect dessert to complete their lunch or dinner.
