Sarku Japan Restaurant Opens in Kings Crossing on Richmond Highway

A Japanese restaurant opened its doors in the Kings Crossing Shopping Center Monday.

Sarku Japan has opened its first street concept restaurant Monday in Virginia in the Kings Crossing Shopping Center on Richmond Highway.

The restaurant is traditionally located in mall food courts, but has expanded the brand with the launch of its street concept in major metropolitan areas in 2008. The Kings Crossing location is the first street concept restaurant in Virginia.

“Ever since opening our street locations in Maryland, we’ve received a tremendous response from customers in the metro DC area,” said Bruce Kim, Sarku Japan assistant vice president of Franchises, in a press release. “Due to store visibility and brand resonance, Northern Virginia was the logistical next step for the expansion of the street concept.”
