MOUNT VERNON, VA — As candidates run for the Mount Vernon District seat on the Fairfax County School Board, a candidate forum is coming up on Tuesday, April 25.

All School Board seats are up for election on Nov. 7, 2023, including three at-large seats and district seats. The School Board elections are non-partisan, which means the seats will not get a primary election on June 20.

Karen Corbett Sanders, the current School Board representative for the Mount Vernon District, is not running for re-election. There are three candidates — Mateo Dunne, Harold Sims and Stori Zimmerman.
