West Potomac's Fine Arts Department to Have Tag Day Saturday
Students will go door-to-door in the community to receive donations to support the Fine Arts Department.

Students with the fine arts department at West Potomac High School will go door-to-door in surrounding neighborhoods from Saturday for Tag Day. More than 200 students are expected to participate in the event to ask for donations to support the department's programs.
Students will deliver a "tag" to residents, inviting residents to their drama, band, chorus, orchestra and guitar events throughout the school year. The Fine Arts Department is not fully funded by Fairfax County Public Schools, so the students in these programs rely on support, donations and generosity from the surrounding community.
Donations from Tag Daygo toward musical instruments, costumes, uniforms, transportation to competitions and funding for other program necessities.
If you're not going to be home Saturday when the students knock on your door, you can still show your support. Visit the Wolverines Band and click on "Tag Day Donations" at the bottom of the homepage to donate online or mail a check to WPBPO, West Potomac High School, 6500 Quander Rd. Alexandria, VA 22307.
