15 Herndon Area Companies On List Of Startups To Watch

HERNDON, VA — Fifteen startups with roots in the Herndon area are worth keeping an eye on as they respond to some of the nation’s most vexing problems, Inc. magazine said with the release of its 2023 Inc. 5000 list.

The startup companies were ranked by revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. To be considered, they had to have earned at least $100,000 in 2019 and grown that to at least $2 million by the end of 2022. To be considered, the companies must have been up and generating revenue by March 31, 2019.

Companies in Herndon and Dulles included in the ranking are:

• COREONYX Government Solutions, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 5,113 percent during the three years and ranked 92 nationally.
• TechSur Solutions an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 456 percent during the three years and ranked 1,284 nationally.
• Urbane Systems, a human resources company based in Herndon, grew by 431 percent during the three years and ranked 1,348 nationally.
• RXWellness Spine & Health, a health services company based in Herndon, grew by 329 percent during the three years and ranked 1,697 nationally.
• Unanet, a software company based in Dulles, grew by 327 percent during the three years and ranked 1,708 nationally.
• ULTATEL, a telecommunications company based in Herndon, grew by 301 percent during the three years and ranked 1,868 nationally.
• Suitebriar, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 264 percent during the three years and ranked 2,123 nationally.
• ShorePoint, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 206 percent during the three years and ranked 2,624 nationally.
• Connected Services North America, a real estate company based in Dulles, grew by 191 percent during the three years and ranked 2,790 nationally.
• Avint, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 173 percent during the three years and ranked 2,996 nationally.
• Athena Technology Group, an engineering company based in Herndon, grew by 172 percent during the three years and ranked 3,023 nationally.
• Guidepoint Security, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 150 percent during the three years and ranked 3,350 nationally.
• Navitas Business Consulting, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 120 percent during the three years and ranked 3,890 nationally.
• FocalCXM, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 109 percent during the three years and ranked 4,119 nationally.
• Niha Technologies, an IT services company based in Herndon, grew by 99 percent during the three years and ranked 4,349 nationally.

The Inc. 5000 companies had combined revenues of $358.2 billion, added nearly 1.2 million jobs and grew at a median rate of 219 percent. The list featured 638 newly founded companies and 3,047 repeat honorees.
