Friday Night Live! Announces Schedule for 31st Season

The DC area’s most popular free outdoor concert series, Friday Night Live!, returns once again on Friday, May 2 to the Herndon Town Green. This will be the 31st season of the concert series which is produced by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. The concert series was created to be an economic development tool to bring people to and promote Downtown Herndon as a place to visit and live. It has successfully done that and more.

“We are once again, pleased to offer an exciting lineup for our 31st season. We have many returning favorites, including a special reunion show by Gonzo’s Nose. And we always add a few new bands to the mix as well,” said Laura Poindexter, Friday Night Live!’s Chairman.

“We are also pleased to offer for the first time ever, a non-alcoholic beer option. We invite everyone to come out to the Town Green with your friends and family and enjoy the unique sense of community Friday Night Live! offers,” Poindexter continued.

This award-winning free outdoor concert series is one of the signature attractions of the Town of Herndon and has grown to become the most successful and longest-running free outdoor concert series in the DC area.

Herndon Mayor Keven LeBlanc commented: “Friday Night Live! is more than just a concert series—it’s a Herndon tradition that brings our community together to celebrate great music, local businesses, and the energy of our vibrant town. It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend, connect with neighbors, and enjoy the best of what Herndon has to offer. I’m grateful to the incredible volunteers and sponsors who make it happen every year!”

This year, Friday Night Live! presents 16 concerts, running weekly from May 2 to August 22. To accommodate the Town of Herndon's July 4th celebration at Bready Park, there will be no concert on that date. Friday Night Live! books the most popular local acts from up and down the East Coast. Most of the bands play rock and roll covers from classic to modern rock.

Food from local restaurants including Dairy Queen, Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern, Toriz Tacos, and Wiseguy Pizza is available onsite. Event organizers offer a variety of beer and wine for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Chamber of Commerce while a portion of the tip money from alcohol benefits the Herndon High School All Night alcohol-free Grad Party. Friday Night Live! has also generously supported many other local organizations in its 30 years, including the Herndon Optimist Club, the Herndon Woman’s Club, the Herndon Fraternal Order of Police, and many Herndon-area PTAs.
