HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon is seeking an energetic business leader to serve on the Herndon Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, which is an advisory group that works to prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion in town policies and programs.

Formed in 2022 by the Herndon Town Council, HDEIC is made up of town residents, business owners, and a council chair. The committee meets four times a year on the third Thursday in February, May, August, and November. The group's mission it to advise the council on issues related to the promotion of DEI initiatives to enhance the town's diverse community.

The committee is seeking the owner or manager of a business in town with expertise in the business sector to fill its current vacancy. The term for the vacant spot will expire on Dec. 31.
