Herndon Area Companies Make Inc. 5000 List In 2022

HERNDON, VA — The latest Inc. 5000 list, an annual look at the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., includes companies based in the Herndon area.

Inc. magazine ranks the 5000 fastest-growing companies by percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. Well-known companies such as Facebook (now Meta), Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft and Patagonia are previous honorees on the Inc. 5000.

"The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated," said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc., in a news release. "Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today."

Companies can qualify for the list if they are U.S.-based, were founded and producing revenue by March 31, 2018 and had a minimum $100,000 revenue in 2018 and $2 million in 2021. On average, companies on the list have 230 percent growth and $317.2 billion in revenue. The list contains 695 newly founded companies and 2,915 repeat companies.

The top 500 companies on the Inc. 5000 list will be featured in Inc. magazine's September issue. GreenBrilliance, a turnkey solar energy solutions provider, was the only Herndon firm to place in the top 500 on Inc.'s list at 326 with 1,756 percent growth.

Other Herndon companies to make the Inc. 5000 list include cybersecurity services provider ShorePoint at 1,241 (524 percent growth), government IT services firm AttainX at 1,953 (308 percent growth), and IT engineering provider Leverage Information Technologies at 1,982 (305 percent growth).
