Herndon College Student Works Backstage In 'On The Town' Production

HERNDON, VA — To shine a light on the academic achievements of college students from the Herndon area, Patch shares information provided by the students' families and Merit News.

Devin McKibbin of Herndon is participating in Lebanon Valley College's Music Theatre Program's inaugural production with "On the Town" from April 13-15 at 7 p.m., and April 16 at 2 p.m. at The Hershey Area Playhouse. A graduate of Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, McKibbin is pursing a bachelor of music in audio and music production at the Lebanon Valley. The following Pennsylvania Western University students were named to the dean's list for the 2022 fall semester by earning a a minimum semester GPA of 3.40:

Kayla Elizabeth Grace Gault of Herndon, a sophomore majoring in biology, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2022 semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.

Rachel Nicole Mietlicki of Oak Hill, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2022 semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.

Kristine Paulikonis, a native of Herndon, was recently initiated into the Christopher Newport University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. The Society welcomed 1,085 new initiates from 45 universities during November 2022.

The following Southern New Hampshire University students were named to the fall 2022 president's list by earning a minimum 3.7 grade point average for the term:

Sarah Tillet of Herndon was named to the fall 2022 dean's list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee by earning a minimum grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Nicholas Bordovsky of Herndon, a class of 2026 mechanical engineering major at York College of Pennsylvania, was named to the fall 2022 dean's list. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Alexander Renner of Herndon is one of more than 400 students who received diplomas and were recognized as Harding University graduates for fall 2022 during a commencement ceremony on Dec. 17, 2022. Renner received an educational specialist degree in clinical mental health counseling. He also received a master of science in clinical mental health counseling.

Ellie Wichman of Herndon was among the more than 800 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the president's list for the 2022 fall semester. Wichman, who was also named to the dean's list, is a fourth year student in Iowa's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in neuroscience.

Michael Moore, a resident of Herndon, was named to the fall 2022 dean's list at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. A student is named to the dean's list who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least four total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours.

Anthony Shelby of Herndon, an economics BA major, was one of the more than 1,870 students who were named to the fall 2022 dean's list at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. To qualify for dean's list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (based on 4.0) during the semester.

Katherine Salmon of Herndon excelled during the fall 2022 semester at Hofstra, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the dean's list. Salmon's major is English.
