Herndon Company Awarded $89M Department Of Defense Contract

The Department of Defense has awarded Forcepoint Federal an $89 million contract to build a "user activity monitoring enterprise solution."

HERNDON, VA — The Department of Defense has awarded Herndon-based company, Forcepoint Federal, an $89 million contract to build a “user activity monitoring enterprise solution.”

Forcepoint Federal specializes in insider threat management, analytics and secure information sharing, according to its website.

As part of the contract, the company said its product for the Department of Defense (DoD) Combatant Commands and Fourth Estate components will also include multi-level architecture and all the requisite software, hardware, training and cleared engineering services under a unified management team.

Forcepoint Federal said it was awarded the contract in a competitive bid via U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) by the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) said it will manage and execute the contract from May 10, 2022 to May 9, 2023, inclusive of three one-year options.

The base period value of this action is $13,360,360 and will be funded by fiscal 2022 operations and management funds, Forcepoint Federal said.
